Candy Barone's self-sabotaging behavior has roots in her childhood. Through her teen years, twenties and into her early thirties, it increased, causing her weight to fluctuate. Click through our gallery to see her transformation.

On the left is Candy in 2004, before she started her transformation. The other three photos showcase Candy as she is now: a speaker, trainer, CEO, author and certified master coach.

Candy wrote a children's book called "Dream Star," based on a story she used to tell her sister. It's about "a little star who is sad because his light doesn't shine as brightly as all the other stars," but "learns the power of his purpose."

Rather than her cycle of binge-eating and excessively working out from before, now Candy eats a healthy diet, runs and uses resistance training to fuel her energetic life.

Candy used to be a compulsive shopper with a closet full of clothes that included several sizes for her fluctuating weight. Now, she's in the best shape of her life.
