Story highlights

  • Mystery surrounds the season finale of "Scandal"
  • "Revenge" says goodbye with final episode

(CNN)As we've seen before with "Scandal," anything will happen and almost certainly will.

That may especially be true with this week's season finale. It's one of six shows to watch this week.
1. "Scandal," Thursday 9 p.m. ET, ABC
"This finale episode, I mean, I just ... I turned to Shonda (Rhimes). I was like, 'Where do we go from here? Are you for real? Now what?' " she said. "It's crazy."
Mystery surrounds Thursday night's episode, with some wondering if we'll have another major death. We can be fairly certain it's not Olivia Pope, who is determined to take down her father this week.
Suffice it to say, there will be a few surprises.
    2. "Revenge," Sunday 10 p.m., ABC
    Emily Thorne's quest ends here.
Fans mourned the cancellation of the suspense-filled soap last week, but they have a chance to see how things wrap up on Sunday's series finale.
    3. "Wayward Pines," Thursday 9 p.m., Fox
With this limited run, M. Night Shyamalan comes to TV in what's sure to be a creepy series with -- brace yourself -- many a plot twist. Matt Dillon and Terrence Howard star.
    4. "The Vampire Diaries," Thursday 8 p.m., CW
The show's female lead Nina Dobrev ends her run on the popular series, and we'll see how the writers have decided to say goodbye to Elena. She's not looking too good in the promo.
    5. "Nashville," Wednesday 10 p.m., ABC
Fans can breathe a sigh of relief that the soap will be back for another season. But they're wondering if Deacon might face his demise in this season's finale.
    6. "The Good Wife," Sunday 9 p.m. CBS
At press time, the renewal status of the critically acclaimed drama was unknown, but producers promise that questions will be answered in this finale. And who's behind that door in the promo?
