UK party leaders

The United Kingdom's general election will take place on May 7. Voters will elect members of parliament in 650 constituencies, and if a party wins a majority of seats it will form the next government. But with the big two, Labour and the Conservatives, both expected to fall short of that, a period of intense horse-trading is expected in search of a coalition. That's when the leaders of smaller parties, like the Scottish Nationalists, the Liberal Democrats and even the U.K. Independence Party could have a pivotal role to play.
