Fashion designer Prabal Gurung raising money for Nepal earthquake
"The minute I heard, I was like, non-action is not an option. I have to do something."
The Nepal native, who has designed pieces worn by Michelle Obama and The Duchess of Cambridge, has family living in Nepal and says, like many of the survivors, they have been forced into living in a tent.
"When I look at the pictures, it is devastating , heartwrenching." Gurung sat down with CNN's Brooke Baldwin today and to explain how he is using social media to keep up with those in Nepal and what he is doing to help.
"We need to raise the money right now," Gurung said. "What happens in a week or two when the world's attention is diverted to another disaster somewhere else? The rebuilding process is going to take a long time."
