Torture report: CIA methods ineffective
(CNN) —

The Defense Department Thursday sent a message to commanders around the world telling them to review their security procedures in advance of the Senate Intelligence committee’s expected release of its report on interrogation practices of terror suspects.

A similar order was issued to State Department and CIA facilities around the world, U.S. intelligence and law enforcement officials said.

The report could be released as early as Monday, sources told CNN.

The military order tells commanders to review their security procedures to protect troops and military bases, because there is the possibility of local outbreaks of violence once the reports contents are known. The official said the order was aimed mainly at overseas installations.
