Hillary Clinton: "I'm thinking about it"
CNN —

Hillary Clinton will attend a fund-raiser later this month for a prominent New Hampshire Democrat, the latest indication that the former secretary of state is laying the groundwork for a second presidential run.

Clinton will appear at a Washington fund-raiser for state Sen. Lou D’Allesandro, an influential voice in the New Hampshire presidential primary. D’Allesandro is often sought out for advice and for his endorsement by Democrats running for the party’s presidential nomination.

The fund-raiser is being hosted by former Massachusetts state Sen. Steven Baddour at his law firm, McDermott Will & Emery.

“Hillary is planning to come by to speak on my behalf,” D’Allesandro told CNN. “We have been close friends for a long time and I am honored that she would take time to drop by.”

News of Clinton’s attendance at the fund-raiser was first reported late Sunday night by NH Journal.

Earlier this month, Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, appeared at a political event in Iowa for retiring U.S. Sen. Tom Harkin.
