It was Boxing Day but these fans had cricket on their mind, not shopping -- 91,092 turned up to watch the fourth Ashes Test in Melbourne between Australia and England. It was the most ever to witness a Test encounter in a single day. Scott Barbour/Getty Images
The previous record was also set at the MCG -- 90,800 watched Australia host the West Indies in 1961. Aussie supporters have had plenty to cheer about during the Ashes, as the host has already regained the urn. Scott Barbour/Getty Images
It was another good day for Mitchell Johnson and Australia. Johnson, arguably the man of the series so far, took two late wickets as England finished at 226-6 to start the fourth Test. Quinn Rooney/Getty Images
Johnson wasn't the lone Australia bowler to excel. Ryan Harris took two wickets, too. He celebrates with teammate David Warner, far right, after ousting Ian Bell. Quinn Rooney/Getty Images
Kevin Pietersen, like many of his teammates, has had a series to forget. But he was England's best batsman Thursday, scoring a 67 not out. Scott Barbour/Getty Images
