But it seems the singer had a more simple reason for wearing his pants high and tight, as he did here in 1970 alongside his girlfriend at the time, Marianne Faithfull. "I've always done a kind of skinny silhouette because I am skinny; I don't have to worry about covering up fat bits!" he has previously told <a href="http://www.wwd.com/fashion-news/fashion-features/sartorial-satisfaction-6501480?page=1" target="_blank" target="_blank">Women's Wear Daily</a>. "So you've got to emphasize your silhouette."
