The Reese we thought we knew —
See this Reese Witherspoon? We don't know this Reese Witherspoon. The actress and her husband were arrested early Friday in Atlanta after they were pulled over for suspected drunken driving. (Want to see video? Check this out.) She reportedly asked the officer "Do you know my name?" Let's look back at some of the quotes that seem more the Witherspoon we know.

She loves to read —
She once reportedly told Reader's Digest "I get crazy in a bookstore. It makes my heart beat hard because I want to buy everything."

She's a hugger —
"I get hugged a lot," she told Vogue in 2011. "Which is fun. Mostly it's all good, positive energy that comes to me. I like people." Here she hugged DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg and at the 7th Annual March of Dimes Celebration of Babies, a Hollywood Luncheon, in 2012.

She loves being a mom —
"I know it's corny, but being a parent to me is such a great privilege; that I get to chaperone these beautiful little souls through life," Witherspoon said. Here she poses while pregnant in 2012 following the screening of the film "Mud' at the 65th Cannes film festival.

Don't correct her grammar —
"I had someone correct my grammar once on a blind date, and within the first 10 minutes the date was over," Witherspoon said during an interview with Seventeen Magazine."You just don't correct somebody's grammar. That's just not OK."

She was kind of geeky in school —
Witherspoon wasn't always the screen goddess she is today. She told the Australian edition of Reader's Digest that "I wore big Coke-bottle glasses, and I was the shrimp of the class, the last to develop, which is so hard as a girl."

She gets nervous speaking in public —
Here, Witherspoon addresses a meeting to launch the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Women in Washington in 2010. But in 2011 she told Marie Claire, "I'm scared to speak in public. I'm really nervous about it. It's weird, because on a movie set, I'm fine. But I get really nervous in front of crowds."

She was gun shy about dating —
"I just find dating nerve-wracking, and really, I don't date," she has been quoted as saying. "I went from being married and then I was married again, so I didn't really date much." Here she and Jake Gyllenhaal cuddle during the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California, in 2009.

She needs a hero —
It seems a bit ironic, but the actress told Elle magazine this story of meeting her husband Jim Toth: "This really drunk guy was hitting on me, making such an idiot of himself, yelling at me. He was like, (slurring, scowling, pointing finger in her face) 'You don't know me.' And I was like, 'Yeah, I know. I don't know you!' Jim came over and said, 'Please excuse my friend. He's just broken up with someone.' "
