In September Samsung released the Galaxy Gear smartwatch. Users can make hands-free calls directly from the Gear, as well as dictate e-mail, set alarms and check the weather solely with their voices.

Google Glass may seem like a novelty right now but the wearable gadget could soon be saving some companies millions of dollars per year. Smartglasses will be particularly useful for workers who need to use both hands to complete complex tasks, such as c onducting surgery or fixing a car.
