A U.S. drone attack killed at least five militants Saturday in northwest Pakistan’s tribal area, two local officials said.

The drone fired two missiles at a suspected militant compound in the Shawal area of North Waziristan district, according to the intelligence and military officials. They asked not to be named because they are not authorized to speak to the media.
