Every day we ask influential politicos to send us their top three bullet points that are driving the day’s conversation inside and outside Washington.

Senior Editor of MarioWire.com Mario Solis-Marich:

- Penalty Flag: Rupert Murdoch’s empire seems to be infested with the hacker-gate scandal as scrutiny increases on his international response to his tabloid’s contractor using the unseemly practice of hacking the phones of murder victims.

- Out of Bounds: Romney has now said that Obama made the economy “worse”, denied he said it, admitted he said it and corrected it and has reverted to making the false statement again and again. Is this the best the GOP has?

- Goooooal!!!: The GOP has won its long pursued dream of stripping money from Social Security and beginning the dismantling of the once sacred safety net program with the bonus of being able to pin it to a Democratic President.

RedState.Com Editor Erick-Woods Erickson:

- Deal or no deal? Republican leaders are saying tax increases are off the table, but revenue increases are on the table. The problem? Most Republicans, including those in congress, see revenue increases as tax increases.

- It looks more and more likely that the White House is going to ignore advice to hide behind the 14th Amendment and pretend the debt ceiling is unconstitutional. However, I’d encourage the President that if he thinks being impeached will help him with his re-election effort, he should just go for it.

- As the media delves into Michele Bachmann, her husband, and her foster children, I fear we are seeing more and more a pernicious anti-Christian strain of commentary crop up. Bachmann and her husband are very mainstream Christians, but some of the near mainstream commentary makes them sound fringe for helping foster children, attending an evangelical church, etc.
