The story

President-elect Barack Obama told the nation Tuesday night that "the dream of our founders is alive" and that he's ready to fulfill his campaign mantra of bringing change to America.

"At this defining moment, change has come to America," Obama, who will be the nation's first black president, told a crowd of about 125,000 people in Chicago's Grant Park.

Obama, born in Hawaii to a white mother and black father, said his victory proves that America is a place where all things are possible. Read full article »
