At stroke of midnight, unclaimed $46 million goes poof!
MONTVALE, New Jersey (CNN) -- The owner of a Big Game lottery ticket worth $46
million and purchased in New Jersey has less than a day to claim the prize before the ticket becomes worthless.
The ticket will become void at midnight Saturday.
If the prize is not claimed before then, the money will return to the Big
Game lottery, in which six other states also participate: Georgia, Illinois,
Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan and Virginia.
The ticket, which was sold in a Montvale convenience store June 9, 2000,
bore the numbers 6, 7, 25, 34, 45. At the time of purchase, the ticket buyer
chose the lump-sum payment option of $24 million.
