El abogado constitucionalista Joe Malouf dice que con esta demanda esperan que en un futuro la ciudad les niegue el permiso a personas que tienen la "intención de cometer actos violentos o de intimidar a una comunidad". Malouf representa a Chelsea Alvarado y demandan a la policía de Charlottesville, a la ciudad y a los supremacistas blancos.
