With less than one week until the Republican National Convention starts this system has a high chance of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours and is expected to grow into Isaac, the ninth named tropical storm of the season according to NOAA. Currently there is no direct threat to Tampa Bay, Florida where thousands are expected to attend the convention that starts August 27.
