Dear colleagues,

June 1st 2005 marks the 25th anniversary of the launch of CNN and this interactive press kit illustrates CNN’s rich history while looking ahead to the future of the CNN brand.

We are proud of the organization we have built; of the way in which we have reported news events this past quarter-century; and of the professional accomplishments of our CNN colleagues and friends.  We are also amazed by the range and number of stories we have shared from so many places, in what seems like such a short period of time.  And we’re excited to think about what lies ahead, as politics, technology, science and a thousand other factors shape the future of the world we will live in and cover.

CNN’s first 25 years have been extraordinary — difficult, exhilarating, sometimes painful and always rewarding.  But the journey from the imagination of a renegade visionary,  to the televisions, computers, radios, mobile phones, pagers and hotel rooms of some two billion people around the world is only a beginning.

As they have every day for the past 25 years, CNN journalists will continue to provide timely, authoritative news and information from the world to the world.  That is our mission, our passion and our job.

Thank you for your interest in our story thus far.  Stay with us; we’re just getting started.
