    Rebecca Berg is a CNN political reporter based in Washington, D.C., reporting on campaigns, party committees, and outside groups. Berg joined the network in 2017.

    Before joining CNN as a reporter, Berg appeared on-air as a political analyst, appearing regularly on The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer and across the network's primetime programs. She previously reported for RealClearPolitics and the Washington Examiner, focusing on campaigns and politics; and for BuzzFeed, covering Congress. Her reporting has spanned the 2012 "fiscal cliff" in Congress, the 2014 midterm elections, and the Republican presidential field in 2015-2016.

    Berg graduated from the University of Missouri with bachelor degrees in journalism and political science. During college, she reported on the Missouri statehouse for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Following graduation, she was selected as summer fellow in Washington for The New York Times.
