Marshall Cohen is a researcher and producer for CNN's Political Unit. He contributes to CNN's campaign and election coverage, including election nights and national conventions, and specializes in the network's production of town hall events and its Emmy-nominated presidential debates. In addition, he contributes to the network's decision desk and analyzes election data for CNN.com.

    Prior to joining CNN, Cohen worked at CBS News, most recently at "Face the Nation" under moderators Bob Schieffer and John Dickerson, and previously contributed to the network's coverage of Capitol Hill and the 2014 midterm elections.

    Cohen was born near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and grew up in New Jersey. He graduated from Northwestern University with degrees in journalism and political science. He was managing editor of The Daily Northwestern when it won the Pacemaker Award, the highest award in college journalism.
