Elizabeth I. Johnson is a Senior Editor focusing on content strategy and development around projects and new initiatives at CNN Digital. She originates and plans content strategy and tactical plans for new content areas. She also experiments with other groups on technology, design and product projects from an editorial perspective. She looks at workflows, systems and tools that could be enhanced or piloted, while working with groups and teams to experiment in audience targeting and engagement. She is also working on implementing a system for sharing practices and information across CNN Digital as well as CNN worldwide.
Previously, she supervised the photo department at the Atlanta headquarters. She is part of the team that launched the CNN Photos blog in November 2011 and edited photography for the CNN iPad app when it launched. She ran the @CNNPhotos Twitter account, Throwback Thursday, and occasionally wrote for the blog. Elizabeth coordinated daily news and assigned photographers to long-form enterprise stories and collaborated with video, design and interactive to tell powerful enterprise stories across platforms.
In 2014, Elizabeth was listed on Feature Shoot's 101 photo industry professionals you should follow on Twitter. She served on the jury of the 2015 International Kontinent Photography Awards.
