New York City transit strike

A transit strike in New York City brought the country's largest public transportation system to a grinding halt Tuesday, forcing millions of commuters to find a new way to get around town. City officials responded by closing many city streets to low-occupancy vehicles, while many commuters headed to work on foot and by bicycle.
