The secret lives of candidates
Brixton Doyle

Warp cartoonist Brixton Doyle has something to say, and ask. He writes:

The gaggle of Democratic and Republican candidates for president is
confounding. And their personalities and agendas even more so. One of these
folks will be determining the course of our lives- so choose wisely
grasshopper.

What do we know about these people anyway? Beyond platitudes and sound bites
and slick exteriors, who are they?

What do they want? What floats their boat, or keeps them awake at night?
They may not tell us, but we might fathom a guess.

Give us your opinion.

Captioning cuteness creates quite a challenge
Cat and bunnyAwwwww, isn't it cute? They're circumventing the food chain. David Witherly of Clinton Township, Michigan, sent this photo of "champion mouser" Achilles spending time with a bunny that Witherly has named Lightning. The whole point here (and there is a point) is to test your resolve. Can you, Warp CNN caption challenge participant, focus on the photo-describing task at hand even as the sheer cuteness of this photo taunts and distracts you?

Post a comment below and we'll feature the best caption as a post on Warp CNN, the most trusted name in news satire. And if you don't, Achilles will be highly displeased with you. You don't want to mess with this cat. Witherly tells us he's got something of a reputation for bringing home trophies from his neighborhood hunts, despite his apparent fondness for this particular rabbit.

Guidelines:
• Be funny: They may be cuddly and adorable together, but don't hold back.
• Keep it short: Aim for 20-50 words. Good things come in small packages, including bunnies and Warp CNN photo captions.

(The back story goes like this: Witherly was out trimming some high grass when he came across the little bunny. He set the creature in a planter while he finished his yardwork. When Witherly came back to send the rabbit back into the wild, he found that Achilles had taken quite a non-edible liking to Lightning. Since then, the two have become friends. Witherly says Achilles spends much of his day lounging with Lightning in a similar manner as shown. He sent us a number of photos that show the pair hanging out together, so we're inclined to believe him.)

Hanging or pregnant quacks?
Soldiers jump upAfter days of taking votes, it appears there's a neck-in-neck race going on to crown our latest Warp CNN caption challenge champ. If you don't recall, we're talking about a photo of a giant duck decoy-slash-boat sent in by Matthew Darrough of Kinwood, California. Congratulations to Kobi of Belmont, California, and Erin Gibbs of London, England, for forcing us to count the hanging and pregnant chads on this one.

Gibbs has a slight lead for now, but it's really hard to tell. Strap yourselves in, because with the excellent captions we've been seeing, our esteemed Warp CNN vote-verification team could be spending weeks on the recount. (View poll)

In the interest of expediency, we're going to say this race is too close to call. Check out Gibbs' winning caption in this photo finish (for now): "Although not as well known as its Greek counterpart, the Trojan Duck was a highly feared in classical warefare..." The other beloved caption came from Kobi: "Although adamantly made, Dale's denial of steroid use was hard to believe."

Thanks to everyone who participated and we hope you're making some really great quacking noises right now.
