Anna Nicole Smith, take 1: Jim Brenneman
Three I-Report cartoonists tackled the Anna Nicole Smith story this week. Here's Jim Brenneman's take:

It does seem quite funny that our nation has been and is so enthralled with the life of a former topless dancer. I am glad someone finally did a carton about "us".
Personally, I think we are getting swamped with useless information on a useless person. Media coverage has gone way too far with this and should direct their attention to more important issues, perhaps the migration of ants{?}.
Steve Irwin did more for the planet the Smith and got nowhere near the coverage.
Well at least this takes the heat off of Princess Di, Brad Pitt and Angie.
What is the draw to her?
I'm having a serious day, but this actually got a honest chuckle from me.
Thanks for your perspective.
Who cares?!?
Unfortunately, by the time all the legal proceedings regarding Anna's burial, her daughter's paternity, the estate of Anna's former husband, Anna's own estate, and the baby's guardian are finalized, we will be bombarded for at least 5 more years by the media.
Now we are going to be treated to the first ever Class Action Paternity Suit
Cheap laughs, every one of these cartoons about a dead person.
Well, thank heavens we don't have to hear any more news on that $12 billion in cash that is unaccounted-for in Iraq, the deaths of men and women in combat, or the progress of Congress in trying to stop this war! Finally! Some important news!
Anna who?
It still amazes me how the press can make the life of an ex-topless dancer/ex-playmate/ex-gold-digger a national issue. What better way to celebrate mediocrity
It really is a sick disease that America has...and it is spreading. Where is the cure? And more importantly, do we really want it?
This one is my favorite out of all three. It's so sad how we care more about "tabloid news" than we do actual important events, like global conflicts.
This one was the best of the three. The line spoken by the TV hits the nail on the head.
GONE and hopefully soon forgotten.
