The Gryst, Episode 15
Our standing rule for The Gryst -- an off-beat and irreverent weekly video podcast on CNN.com -- is simply this: the day we follow our script from start to finish is the day we stop doing the podcast.
Episode fifteen held true to this promise, as was evident when Paul decided to punch me in the gonads. Believe it or not, this wasn’t in the script. Nevertheless, I appreciate improvisation and I’m sure my adopted children will too. See for yourself: Download this week's episode or subscribe to the feed.  Up this week: Memory Kid: I chose this particular piece of video because I’m the kind of guy who can’t remember anything – especially names. In fact, I’m still not 100% sure what my own grandmother’s name was… I always thought it was just Nana. So, I make lots of lists and check marks and I get through life quite efficiently. Nursing Dog: The original intro line to this video was, “Hey, let me tell you about this bitch in Florida with some really sore nipples!” Technically, this was accurate. Tape Art: Undoubtedly, this guy’s art is really super creative, yet he comes off as a total slacker. I like that. In the process of trying to duplicate his work, I’m fairly certain that we tore through eighty dollars worth of gaffers tape. The end result was this thing that sort of resembled my arm. This was the last episode we shot before some of us took vacation, so if it looks like we were putting forth minimal effort – we were. Of course, that’s pretty much always the case. 0 Comments
