'Proud to have them as my family'
![]() This is my sister, Sgt. Jennifer Tommasi (30 years old) and my father, CW3 Randy Weatherhead (57 years old) in Iraq. It was her second tour, and after two tours in Vietnam, it was his first to Iraq. They served this tour simultaniously. He was based in Tikrit, and she in Mosul. These pictures were taken shortly after he performed her re-enlistment ceremony, and prior to that, she was at his promotion ceremony to pin his new rank. Both events took place in Iraq, and both have said they could not have chosen a better backdrop to show their commitment to the military, to our country, and to freedom. Jennifer left behind her 6 month old daughter to serve this tour; returning to a 2 year old toddler when she got home. They are my heros, and I am proud to have them as my family. -- Amanda Wolf of Orlando, Florida Thursday, November 15, 2007
'The best man I know'
![]() I would like to salute Major Kevin C. White from 1-158 CAV in Camp Bucca. He is a graduate of West Point and received his master's at the University of MS in Rolla. You are the best man I know and make me a better person everyday. I am proud of you and the sacrifices you are making to maintain our freedom and fighting to give others what we have in this country. You are a great man! We miss you will all our hearts. Love you, Tamra -- Tamra White of Frederick, Maryland Wednesday, November 14, 2007
'Proud father-to-be'
![]() This is my hero, SPC Robert Racioppa. He is currently serving in Iraq on a 15-18 month deployment. Three days after he deployed, we found out we were expecting our first baby. And this is the proud father-to-be with our first ultrasound. I miss him greatly and wish all our troops a safe homecoming. Thanks for all you do to protect our freedom! -- Stephanie Racioppa of Hanahan, South Carolina |
