'A job well done'
![]() Hi Robin, my husband Staff Sergeant Gregory Dunigan is currently deployed to Iraq with the 104th Transportation Company, FT Benning, GA. On 1 Oct he will be promoted to the rank of Sergeant First Class. Please help me on 1 Oct to salute and congratulate him on a job well done. Congratulations SPIDER!!! (childhood nickname. He is going to kill me for that) We love and miss you. From your wife Luretta. ROLL TIDE! -- LuRetta Dunigan of Fort Benning, Georgia 'Counting the days'
![]() Our son Jared Dimmett is on duty in Kuwait. We love him and miss him and are praying for him and we are counting the days until he returns home. -- Susan & Jim Dimmett of Marietta, Georgia Friday, September 28, 2007
Backing him up
![]() This a photo of my brother Frankie a few hours before he left for Iraq, surrounded by his mom, sisters, brother, wife and sister-in-law. He left in the beginning of Sept 07 and wont be returning until the end of 2008. He is a Staff Sgt in the US Army and is stationed at Fort Drum. As you can tell by the shirts he has alot of support back home here in NY. We all love him and miss him very much and can not wait for his safe return. -- Laurie Frisbie of Callicoon, New York 'We are all thinking about her'
![]() This is my friend Marine 1st Lieutenant Nikki DeLand. She is my friend from college. She is a prior-enlisted Marine Lieutenant. She has been over in Al-Anbar province as an Air Support Controller. She has been over there since July. She is based out of Cherry Point, NC, in MASS-1 (Marine Air Support Squadron 1). I just want to know that we are all thinking about her back here in State College and we hope that she stays safe. 2nd Lt. Esther Gomez, USMC -- Esther Gomez of State College, Pennsylvania 'A great dad, loyal friend'
![]() My husband Jason has been in Iraq since June 18 2007. He is a 33W, Intel Systems maintainer/repairer. He is serving as a platoon SGT with 10th Mtn 2nd BDE Special Troops Battalion. Before he left we had a BEAUTIFUL baby boy (after 3 girls) and he was able to spend 6 weeks with him. He is a great Dad, loyal friend, Strong, Kind and my best friend. He is currently at Camp Victory and will be coming home in November. I love him SOOO much and we are all SO proud of him! -- Laura Doty of Sierra Vista, Arizona 'We both have faith'
![]() My wife is assigned to 15th PSB 1st CAV Div, currently stationed in Iraq. She is serving a 15 month rotation and should re-deploy in a few months. She now serves as the S-3 NCOIC after relinquishing her position as 1SG HHD 15th PSB. She is a true Soldier and love what she does for the Army and the young soldiers under her leadership. We have four kids, with the youngest being 2 ½ years old. I am also in the military, and had just returned from a deployment prior to her deploying to the same location. At times, it becomes very stressful for us both. Although deployments may come and go we both have faith that God will send stability our way soon. -- John Edwards of Fort Jackson, South Carolina 'Watch over Daddy'
![]() Daddy and 2 year old Jesse pose for the camera the night before Daddy is deployed. Jesse prays for Daddy everynight asking God to "Watch over Daddy." My husband, Duane Fulk, is currently serving with Seabee unit NMCB 15 in Iraq. This is his second deployment as a reservist. He is a gunner for his unit so we pray for his safety constantly. I am so proud of him for his service to our family and to this country. He is a "true hero" in our eyes as are all the soldiers currently serving all over the world. I hope that our nation will remember that though they may not agree with this war, that our troops need our support. And though the media spins it that everything is bad over there, there is also a lot of good going on that we never hear about unless you have a soldier who is serving there. -- Janet Fulk of Vermillion, South Dakota Thursday, September 27, 2007
Happy 30th!
![]() This is my husband, SGT Marc Griffin. His 30th birthday is this Sunday, Sept. 30. In this picture he is behind a 240 and on a mission somewhere close to Muquadiyah, Iraq. He is with 6/9 Cavalry -Charlie Troop in the 1st Cav Division stationed out of Fort Hood. This is his second tour in Iraq and hopefully he will be home by Christmas. He has been there since Oct. 2, 2006. I am hoping that Robin can share his photo along with well wishes for his big birthday. I love him very much and look forward to his return! -- Candy Griffin of Temple, Texas 'A super duper dad'

![]() Sergeant First Class Edgar Ford, his wife Jessica Ford, daughter Afton Ford (11) and son Ethan Ford (10) at good bye ceremony on Sept 13. My twin sister's husband deployed Sept 13th for his 3rd tour in Iraq from Fort Shafter, Hawaii. This time for 15 months. He is Sergeant First Class Edgar (Eddy) Ford with the 552nd MP Company. Although we are all worried about him we know that he is the right person for the job and feels passionately about completing the mission. We just wanted to acknowledge him and thank him for his service. His family is based in Kansas. -- Angela Childress of West Palm Beach, Florida 'Each day brings us closer to seeing him again'
![]() This is a picture of my husband, Sgt Justin Moxley, and our then 2 week old son Ryan. Justin is currently deployed in Iraq from the 3rd ID at Ft Stewart, GA. We were blessed enough to have Justin home on leave when our son was born in August. This picture is the last time my husband was able to hold our son until he comes home next year around the time Ryan turns 1 yr old. It is hard to have him gone while missing so many of Ryan's milestones this first year, but we know that he is doing a good job where he is and each day brings us closer to seeing him again. We want him to know that we are so proud of him and that we miss him and love him so much! We can't wait for him to be home with us again!!! -- Brooke Moxley of Hamptonville, North Carolina 'We miss him very much'
