'I miss him terribly'
![]() I'd like to send my love to my husband, SSG Aundra Stephenson of the 461st AG BN, who is serving in Taji, Iraq. He is currently serving his second tour and has been there since August. Our prayers are with him daily and I am hoping he will be back home in my arms safe and sound ASAP! I want him to know everything is okay at home. I miss him terribly. I'd like to say thank you to not only my husband but all those serving and that have served in the war. We never forget you are over there and what you are sacrificing for all of us back home. We love you and God bless all of you and America, the home of the brave! -- Angela Stephenson of Meridian, Mississippi
I would just like to say a huge THANK YOU for you and all of our fellow troops for all you do! Your sacrifices will never be forgotten. As Toby Keiths Song puts It (American Soldier)- "I've counted up the cost - I know the sacrifice. And I don't want to die for you, but if dying is asked of me, I'll bear that cross with Honor - because FREEDOM DOES NOT COME FREE! Because you are an AMERICAN SOLDIER!" Oh, how that song brings tears to my eyes each & every time I hear it - Because of you guys, we can sleep in peace at night & enjoy our freedom - because you and your troops are the ones putting yourself in danger "to hold the front lines." I fully support this war- I have since they attacked us on 9/11. And I still will! I have read that most of you do not want to come home until the job is finished over there - PERIOD! Because they (the terrosits) will be the next ones on our door steps (if they aren't already). Please, please continue to get the word out from your men -- that this is what our troops want - not Bush or anyone else! They truly need to "hear" your voice - however you can get it out! My prayers are with you & your familys daily. Thanks again for answering the call - not once, but over & over, to defend the freedom we love so much! MAY YOU ALL COME HOME TO A TRUE HERO'S WELCOME!

Hey Angela! I'm also from Meridian and my husband is wounded warrior SFC Norris Galatas. He is still at WRAMC, but you will LOVE his book. It is called "A SOLDIER'S COURAGE" by Janis W. Galatas and is now available on Amazon.com. Folks are reading it and recognize so many of the soldiers of the 155th BCT I wrote about! The book relates the good, the bad, and the ugly about a soldier's struggle to fight for his country, to live and heal, navigate the complex medical evaluation board process, and details the hardships his family faces while he is away. He hopes to bring education, understanding, closure and peace. It is a celebration of the courage and professionalism of our men and women in uniform. They serve willingly so that we don't have to and it salutes them. They are all heroes. Check it out here:
