Puppy love

On the left -- our son, SGT Brian Ruggiero and his canine partner, Iras. They are currently assigned to Camp Salerno, in the Khost province of Afghanistan. They have been there for 2 months. Brian has been in the Army since 2003. He chose MP's so he could follow in his dad's footsteps. His fiance', SGT Jessica Boehning, is also an MP dog handler currently in Iraq.

Right -- our future daughter-in-law, SGT Jessica Boehning and her canine partner, Ben. She is currently in Q West Iraq and has been there since April. She and our son, SGT Brian Ruggiero met in Germany and became engaged on Valentine's Day of this year. We have never met Jess in person, but she is definitely one of the family. She and Brian are both MP dog handlers.

I am a member of Soldiers Angels and *adopted* Jessica & Beny when she was first deployed and also *Adopted* Brian & Iras. I am so happy for them. They are two of the sweetest, most sincere, BRAVEST young people I have ever met. Congrats, congrats, congrats. God speed children!!!
Mr. & Mrs. Ruggiero,
My name is Jaclyn and I am Jessica's Best Friend. First off I would like to tell you Thank You for what your son and Iras are doing and most of all for bringing up such a wonderful gentleman that has brought Jessica nothing but happiness. I have yet to meet him and I can not wait after all the things that I have heard about him. Bless you both and know they both have A Lot of prayers going their way everyday. Thank you again for bringing Brian into this world and for bringing him up the way you did. I always told Jess she would find that amazing man she so deserves and look she did ~ your son Brian :)

I just want to tell you how much I love and miss you sweetie. I can't wait to say "her and Beny are back in Germany SAFE"). I am so darn proud of you, look at you and all that you have accomplished. I am blessed to call you Best Friend. It is weird you are a so many darn miles away yet so close (probably cuz you never leave my heart). I still pray for you guys several times a day, I think God is going to get you four home safely just to shut me up :) I love you sweetie, please come home to us safely... we need to go wedding shopping :) Please be careful and stay safe
Love Always,
Jaclyn :)
Aunt Aleta and Uncle Joe:

This is a great...I'm so proud of my cousin and how brave he is. Also, Jess, I've never met you before, but from the looks of things, Brian really hit the jackpot.

You two, along with all your comrades in arms, are in all our prayers. Keep up the great work and we remain 110% behind you. Thank you for your service.
