Hats off to the troops, and their families
Speaking with the families of soldiers overseas, the effects of war and the depth of our armed forces' commitments really hit home. The stories are often inspiring and sometimes bittersweet, like that of Rebecca Abujebarah, who proudly sent in photos of her two sons in the service.

Pvt. Adam Holroyd, 20, is nearly through with his yearlong tour in Afghanistan, and Staff Sgt. Jerad Holroyd, 24, likely will be on his way to Iraq in a few months. Abujebarah writes of her two boys, "I just wanted to say how much we love them and are so proud!" Looking in from the outside, one can wonder what it must feel like to have one son coming back and another preparing for possible deployment. The I-Report submissions we're getting really illustrate the reality of soldiers venturing out for several months at a time, often a full year, in the hopes of making life better back home. Especially for those with younger children, the war is bringing dramatic changes to many families.
