Join the conversation
Welcome to CNN Exchange, where your stories are the news. What you see within these pages is a direct result of your interaction with CNN. These are your photos, videos, opinions and ideas. Think of the Exchange as a conversation between you and us.

Now, in the spirit of Exchange, we've created this blog to further that conversation. We've turned the camera over to you -- now we want to hear what you have to say.

Here is your first assignment: Tell us what you think about the Exchange. What do you like? What don't you like? What suggestions do you have? What kinds of I-Reports do you want to see? Give us your ideas, and help us make the Exchange a better community.

Let the conversation begin.
Our favorite I-Reporter
When "Croc Hunter" Steve Irwin died last September, 11-year-old Matthew Cheek of Kissimmee, Florida, drew a picture as a tribute to his late hero and sent it to CNN. The simple drawing of a teary-eyed crocodile struck us as a touching gesture, and many of you agreed. When we included Matthew’s tribute in our monthly user poll, our readers voted it the "best I-Report" of September. Matthew was completely floored.

On November 17, the Exchange got a surprise of its own, a chance to meet the young I-Reporter in person. Matthew and his family stopped by our offices at CNN Center in Atlanta. We gave Matthew the grand tour –- and as much CNN swag as we could get our hands on. Matthew was even interviewed by CNN anchor Veronica De La Cruz.

We learned that not only is Matthew inspired by Irwin, he is already following in his idol’s footsteps. According to Mom and Dad, Matthew routinely brings snakes and spiders into the home, and once caught a 3-foot-alligator in a Florida canal by using a piece of rope and a chunk of roast beef.
