Dodging the lumpy stuff
I-Reporters are proving once again that weather is a hot topic. While everybody else may just be talking about what’s in the forecast, I-Reporters are capturing it on digital, film, and video. When stormy skies dumped dime, quarter and even golf-ball-sized hail on parts of Colorado and Minnesota, they were there, shielding their cameras and getting the shots.

In addition to being a pilot, and self-proclaimed weather junkie, Jared Aicher can now add I-Reporter to his list of accomplishments. Not only did the Buffalo, New York, native capture the stormy weather in downtown Denver during a business trip Monday, he jumped in his car and followed it, sending us amazing shots of the flooding and hail.

Brian Byer probably didn’t expect to make I-Report a family affair as he videotaped golf-ball-sized hail pummeling his front yard when severe thunderstorms hit Duluth, Minnesota, on Monday. (Watch his video.) Eager to show us how large some of the chunks were, he asked his wife, Sharon, to take pictures as he scooped up handfuls of hail.

I-Reporters do more than shoot the breeze about the weather; they capture compelling images of it and share them with us.
