'The War Within'
CNN's Chief International Correspondent, Christiane Amanpour, writes about the people she met while making "The War Within," which airs on CNN TV this weekend. The hour-long documentary looks at growing conflicts within Britain's Muslim communities.
Hi I watched some of your show and was disgusted at how that individual started to quote the Quran in legitamizing attacks on civilians!! He said something about "they will kill and be killed" reffering to non muslims i suppose. In WW2 that happened as well, thats not a message for muslims to go kill non muslims, its just an observation of the world. I am a muslim and ive noticed that one of the problems the muslim community has (at one point myself as well) is the inability to acknowledge the idea that there ARE bad muslims. Many muslims are still in disbelief that other muslims flew airplanes into the WTC, instead pointing to a conspiracy. The more I hear individuals like the ones you interviewed the more i see how wrong we are to assume that. The worldwide muslim community comprises over 1 billion people, there are bound to be "a few bad apples". The followers of true Islam must first acknowledge this fact, then sally to confront the enemy. Whenever these bozos stage rallies true muslims must stage an even bigger rally right infront of their faces. Their voices have been loud for too long, its time for ours to be louder.
