Democratic and Republican Presidential Primaries

The first primary of the 2012 nomination process will be the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday, January 10. The Republican field - many of whom have put significant emphasis on the state - will battle for their share of the 23 available delegates. However, because New Hampshire violated RNC rules on the date of its primary, they will be subject to a 50% penalty, cutting the available delegates to 12. Delegates will be awarded on a proportional basis.
