The corruption in the Justice Department with regards to voter intimidation by the New Black Panther Party (black version of KKK) is going to be huge, and a cover-up. Media is supposed to keep our government honest. CNN, you should be ashamed of not covering it thus far.

I am an Army Wife who is slowly but surely losing her Pride on a daily basis. Having worked over 20 years for an amazing attorney who endlessly volunteered his services to veterans organizations and now being an Army Wife who knows too well how long 15 months really is, I have always remained relentless in my patriotism and pride. It used to be worth it. If you knew me and the strength of my Pride in the past years, you would not recognize me today. Maybe in the same way I no longer recognize the very Country we continue to blindly sacrifice for today.

Did my husband REALLY go to Iraq and Afghanistan many times to defend the rights of THUGS like the Black Panthers? or illegal immigrants who murder our American ranchers/peace officers and citizens? Are you Serious? Is THIS really the "America" we are defending today? This is the reward for my husbands injuries? (Spine surgery being the last... more in future.)

Regardless, all I know is that come Election day... I DARE the Black Panthers to try and block THIS Army Wife from voting!!!

1. The Black Panther voter intimidation case and why Eric Holder dropped it. There has to be a smoking gun. Some black leaders had to pressure Holder to do this.

2. Updates on the Fort Hood shootings. Why have the results of the investigation been so sketchy? What type of incompetence is the Pentagon hiding?

I became aware of a small town uproar caused by the "Death at the hands of a small town police officers" just after 4th of July. It happened in Imperial, CA and the press articles and comments by community seem to be very critical of the events and reporting. Having lived in a small town, I understand how easily mistakes are covered up to protect the guilty. I would like to see an investigation into small town coverups and how the local press is strategically leveraged in America.

Gov. control of ALL media in a way never seen before & farther reaching than most would imagine–There's your story! From the FCC trying to require ID log ins to access the Web, [ I know they now are saying it would be voluntary } but they also said Healthcare membership would be voluntary and then spent 23 BILLION $$ to hire 16 THOUSAND IRS Agents to force compliance, yet it took month's to get 1200 Nat Guards to the Thousands of miles of border where we are OCCUPIED by invaders & drug cartels, our Parks & Monuments are OCCUPIED by foreign invaders & this is alright?? Then there's the press restrictions on the access to the military, Obam went HOW MANY MONTHES with zero press conferences? Abbie, another issue that fell off the radar screen is-What ever happened to the "missing/unaccounted for " Stimulus $$$???? I KNOW it was such a large amount of money that it is hard to keep up with, but we can not let ANY amount disappear as 1. It is "borrowed $$ w/interest. 2. It gives the thieves/irresponsible people who are supposed to account for it a window of opportunity to think...I got away with it once, let's do it again. 3. It's criminal, plain & simple. I'm just a regular guy & to me, these are just glaring common sense issues that amazingly just vanish. How?? Why?? I would like to also see SOME coverage of the DOJ and the black panther case. I applaud Stormey's submission and thank her husband for his service and her sacrifice. This country is becoming less and less of a country that I am proud of. The media has much to do with the way news is presented and it has not been presented fairly and sometimes not at all as in this case with many major news outlets. I can't figure out why this is... I have been impressed with the documentary 'BLACK IN AMERICA.' most of the issues raised had to do with prejudice, discrimination e.t.c. however there are Blacks Emigrants who face discrimination from Balcks from this country. That is the story untold , maybe the documentary could be titled, Black Emigrants in America. We have a good story too and that will amaze a lot of people.

I would like to see some professional coverage and investigation regarding an Ithaca NY police officer whose house was burned down days after he was acquitted of any wrong doing in the shooting of a man who had run down one police officer and was attempting to run over more in his attempt to escape arrest. A local coalition was formed at the time of the shooting claiming profiling and bias and veiled threats were made according to local news. Stories such as this need to be told.

I would like to have an investigative look into the corruption within the EDD and the unemployment process to which people in the lower income bracket are being systematically denied unemployment. I was informed during my appeals hearing by a ALJ that the EDD makes mistakes in their dicission to deny UI benefits 90% of the time. This unreported info is devastating, for one to think that people have committed suicide over denial of UI benefits when EDD was making these mistakes which no one knew about, secondly, this has a direct affect on the economy and the Stimulus, you don't get UI benefits you dont get the stimulus you dont boost the economy, Where are these people who are being denied UI through these mistakes by the EDD, Hello, thier on welfare that is why the stimulus is not working. Where is the Stimulus money? My own experience and documented proof of misrepresentation by the EDD process in order to deny UI benefits is a prime example.

I have to also agree the DOJ’s behavior in the potential New Black Panthers voter intimidation case deserve serious journalistic scrutiny. Not saying there were dirty deeds for certain but this is an important civil rights case that deserves to see the light of day. Too many questions not enough transparency.

What is going on in the public school system? I reside in the southwestern part of Texas on the border. I have seen and observed six graders, seventh graders and eigth graders that are bearing children. I have seen that the kids control the school and the teachers and security guards just let them move along to get to the next grade level. I have seen high school kids that are juniors and seniors and only have a six or seventh grade level of education. I see the system giving up on hard to reach kids and spoiling the educated ones. What has happened to the system from the way it used to be?

I like reading about crime stories, specifically low-profile burglaries and kidnappings, crimes with STORIES to them. I read an article about an altercation between two people that stemmed from an argument and I want to know what they were arguing about. It's all about the details. The Daily Dumb gets close to this, but I don't want to hear entirely about dumb criminals, as it is the smart ones that are the most interesting.

I would like you to focus on racisim in this country, more specifically how racisim is affecting people of color in the corporate world and its subtle undertones. I was recently fired from large corporation stating that i was underperforming in my job which was far from the truth. The reason given to me was me not performing which was cover up for discrimination to protect jobs of white ppl with no skills. I have numerous stories from friends who have had similar experiences. I am US citizen of East Indian origin. This kind of discrimination causes tremendous sense of anger and resentment. I have filed a case with this corp with the EEOC. The DOJ needs a look at. All the folks that came out of the woodwork to get a check from BP, but have no records or receipts but simply claim "fishing is a cash business" need a look at. Kind of brings back the memory of folks using their US Katrina issued debit card to buy designer handbags. The growth of the government necessary to enforce new medical and soon to be new financial rules needs a look at. The effect on the growth of rules, regulations and paperwork levied on small business due to these changes needs to be looked at. These 3 million mystery jobs Obama talks about could use some lite of day. Why the American public was denied the right to see what an appointee that will effect the use of over 1/6th of the us economy had in mind certainly demands a look at. Government transparency needs a look at. Congressional pork needs a serious look at. The real truth of unemployment needs a look at. Even I know folks that use it simply because it is there and they do not want to forfeit it by actually getting a job. Who really pays the taxes in the US. Why isn't there a minimum amount that every citizen pays in taxes even if it is only 200 dollars?

I am the mother of 2 wonderful children. I reside in PA and am in the fight for my children's life. I have been let down by my judicial system. My children have lived with me a single mother all their lives. My children are honor roll students and active in the community. Their lives changed in a matter of minutes due to injustices. A judge moved my children from a safe loving home and environment with strong family and community support. They have now been placed in an abusive environment that can be life threaten. They would be relocating to another state NC with no family connection or familiar surroundings other their father, who has a history of mental and physical abuse toward me and my children. I am completely shocked and outrage that the judicial system that is supposed to protect the children's well being has let them down. My children are 15 and 12 they should be heard and helped. The judge that made the life changing decision made a statement that shocks me "I don't talk to children". This is the most outrageous thing I have ever heard in my life. This put my children in a desperate situation that caused them to flee while in their father's custody. I am desperately trying to get my children heard and fair treatment. I was denied council and forced to go to custody trail with no legal representation. Now I am trying to get legal representation for me and my children. Please help me or give me direction as to what I can do to get my children back, fight for them and their safety.

I read a lot of world news myself, since I'm not even from the US in the first place! (thankfully I don't live in a country where people feel its their right to shoot to kill others in defense, but I still read and comment here anyway)

CNN needs to lighten up a bit, and report the latest news without all the limitations (of which only readers like me, see)
Best to report truthfully and here's the biggest issue FULLY, it will save me getting the real story by visiting many sites on the same issue.

I'd personally like more religious views debates (in the story and comments) and not by your members trying to squeeze it in when they get the opportunity to do so.

I would really like to see more positive news stories. I am rather sick of seeing our president every day in the news. I would like to hear more about what people (regular people) are doing in their communities to help the many that are affected by this economy. Even if it is something small. Maybe CNN is not reporting on the new Black Panther party intimidation because there was not enough evidence to support the case? While Obama is the president there are laws and rules that stop him from making certain decisions just like the other presidents. The DOJ filed the suit, so that they can investigate further...they did...not enough evidence. The Black folks of America did not create the constitution so you can't blame them. Listening to fox which is the most racist news channel is just dumb. Find the facts for yourself before you listen to other people.

We just received word that our Pre-needFuneral Home Contract is now gone.

The Cassity family of St. Louis, MO that runs Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence, MO, Hollywood, CA, and others have been running a scam. We are now out over $18,000.00 for pre-need funeral services. This information came from The Independence Examiner on or about the 15th of July. Can someone from CNN check this story out? There are a lot of families that will be effected by this.

I wd like to comment, plz dont take personally. CNN doesnt need to dumb down stories and reports for Americans. The public may think it wants to eat candy but its really not so great for us. Report on real items that have to do with our world, geographical,environmental, political, cultural. Not phony culture like celebrity obsession.

Id like to learn more about how an int'l news org such as your group decides what and how long to report on an actual event. It seems that in some regards CNN, along with all other news outlets, interprets the news. I like the old school method of trying to be objective, Woodward-Bernstein type reporting. Seeking the facts and trying to reveal the truth, or all sides of an issue. In 2008 CNN lost credibility with me and many others by completely losing objectivity and sinking its collective face into the nether-regions of a single presidential candidate. It manipulated the public by downplaying events that did not fit the CNN paradigm. That was a tragedy for me because I had always trusted CNN. I see that as a shameful time for American news organizations, esp. CNN. You had farther to fall and you did so.
Why not give us more transparency about your process? Is it really all based on focus groups or what people are looking at online? Is it based on ad response or just what your editors believe people are desperate to read about?

Lets look at corporations not paying taxes (GE paid no taxes) , and look major social entitlement programs fraud. In 08 I reveiewed the GAO's website, and the medicare program had over 400 Billion in questionable or fraudalent charges. Found that Walgreens had overcharged by 300 million, so I'm so sick of hearing people complaining about a little old lady getting govt assistance, so lets put this in perspective if we have the courage to go after the big businesses, and providers that cheat us on a daily basis!!!

How about looking at who really runs America? Take the top 100 companies, and show how many CEO's and executives sit on other board of directors for another fortune 100 company, and then add the Chamber of commerces of the 25 largest metro areas, and see if we are getting closer to the truth!!! Greed has consumed the wealthy, and they have abandoned the working class in America!!!

I would like to read stories that the televised news is not allowed to provide the public to see on national television. The public should be allowed to hear the truth and should not be denied it! Abbie – I wish someone would do a story on the health care industry in the Rio Grande Valley. I recently lost my father @ 57 (who was in the process of being dismissed from the hospital) and a cousin @ 21 (went in for rehab for an injury to his hand). They went in, and never came out, and it happens ALL the time. The doctors care more about making money than healing. The Rio Grande Valley is as corrupt as Mexico in many ways, and there is NO ONE willing, or capable, of helping..... I hope this does not fall on deaf ears again... Be Well...

How about reporting on something positive? Almost everything reported online or on the tube is about something awful.

Positive topics: Urban rejuvenation, growing numbers of service related NGOs, innovative programs in schools, the rewards of volunteer services, organizations focused on unity, diversity, cooperation, etc.

Thanks in large part to news media, the US has become a nation of cynics. "Can do!" has become "Why bother?" Let;s hear about how to make things better, not about how some folks are making things worse.

Everyone I know is talking about the violence as a result of illegal drug activity and young people wanting to be "bad" I live in Mobile AL, and it is rampant in our community. People ride around looking for someone to rob, and often some innocent person dies as a result. Its insane and dangerous. The police can't protect us because there are too many people involved in this activity.
My question is ,why do they do this? What drives them?
They had the opportunity of free education just like all the rest yet they choose a criminal lifestyle. WHY?

RE: Is This Illegal? Purchasing problems encountered while trying to purchase a Bank-Owned Home for cash.
The following is a brief sketch of the ordeal my family and I have been caught up in while trying to buy a bank-owned home. I think you will agree with me that the story is both newsworthy as well as being appallingly unjust to ‘the little guy.’
In May of this year I made a successful bid on a primary home for myself and my 2 kids. I have recently inherited a small amount of money and was just trying to buy a mortgage-free home for my kids and myself. I wanted to close May 28 so as to take advantage of the Federal tax rebate but was told that the seller wanted one additional week, to June 7, to close as they were just clearing up a lien on the property and needed the extra week. We signed a contract to close on 6/7/10. I was assured by the representing selling agent (Century 21, Richards, for the Bank of America) that there was one lien on the property, in the amount of $970.00, which had been paid, and, that they were just awaiting a confirmation from the City of North Lauderdale (the lien-holder) so they (the seller/Cent 21) could close on 6/7/10 with a clear title.
It is now 7/27/10 and we have no firm closing date in sight. The “One Lien” turned into five and then into ten liens; then it was a ‘blanket’ lien, then the seller wasn’t the Bank of America – it was the Bank of New York – then it wasn’t, then it was. And all the while the Century 21 realtor insisted on their “one lien – no problem” line. It was my daughter and I who, through our own efforts, tracked down the truth of the matter and brought it to the attention of Century 21 (so they could, hopefully, make some progress on the sale). Century 21 stated they had called various people who had not returned their calls – but they would try calling again (we believe they only made cursory daily calls to an answering machine and then only on days we called to remind them). Cent 21/Bank of America kept on signing sales-contract extension after extension – each time promising to close on the following Friday. It was only by my mentioning the word, “Lawyer,” that I was able, after 4 weeks, to get Century 21 to talk to the City of North Lauderdale, find out what the problem was and begin to take anything even approaching steps to solve that problem. In the meantime I’ve got my kids and my cats at a pet-friendly hotel while I’m staying with my dog at my boyfriend’s and the three of us (the kids and I) are having to share one car. All of us are unemployed. I have recently inherited a small amount of money and was just trying to buy us a mortgage-free home for my kids and myself. So far it’s cost me over $6000.00 to “not” move. Since I sold our former home, we are now homeless.
Here’s the kicker (actually there are two of them): Records show that despite Century 21’s frequent false statements to me, they knew the true story of the multiple blanket liens since December of 2009. Kicker #2: because this is a bank-owned foreclosure I, the buyer, do not have the same rights as if I was buying a privately owned home. Even though the companies involved have obviously been dealing in bad faith all along, I can not sue them. All I can do is submit up to $5000 of hotel and storage bills and request the seller take this amount off the final price of the house. I can’t ask for more than $5000. If I choose to walk away from the deal, I can’t even ask for that. That’s right…if they choose to never close, I will have no recourse, I can claim no injury…I have no rights. And this is legal under the laws of the United States?

I am very concerned with some of the laws that local governments are trying to pass (have passed) these days concerning the health care bill. The states that are passing laws that allows them to bypass the federal law are exactly the kind of states where this bill should help ...

And what is the current state of education in these States? The U.S. has "succeeded" in keeping certain areas less educated to maintain its status quo. Can you look into what is being taught in these States?

Could you do an investigative report on the outlandish (MD) laws of determining child support? In MD, for instance, one can be deemed "voluntarily impoverished" and the judge can jack your income by 400% and then set the child support. Naturally, the non-custodial parent falls behind on payments and then child support garnishes 65% of the wages. This is legally-induced destitution that could very well make a person consider the advantages of illegal, immoral or reprehensible activities just to stay afloat. Oh, and being a non-custodial parent in arears, one is also not eligible for food stamps. Can you imagine working 60 hours per week in two jobs that require a bachelor's degree and stll not being able to pay your rent?

I believe you should investigate the "moderate" Muslim myth. It seems to be the power structure here in KCK, feeding on fear, finance and ignorance. It use to be in this great country of ours, we made things. I would like for somebody to investigate the disparity in federal sentencing as it deals with mortgage fraud. Judges are struggling with the pre-sentencing reccomendations. If one would investigate by regions of the country, economical conditions, race, gender, public defender vs. private attorney, and other important factors, they will find that there are many wide variances in the time given.

please investigate BANK OF AMERICA over thier mortage default practices. never been late for payment. have paid same amount rfor 4 years to bofa 8 years before to country wide. got march statement after i had to call them. said i was in default because they changed my house payment by one cent – one penny from what i have been paying since my refi with bank of america four years ago. increased my note by 1 cent with out telling me so they could say that i defaulted on my loan. i have been disabled for ten years and have never been late on any of my bills. i have my 77 year old mother liveing with me. and if they default on my loan we have no where to go. please help i did nothing wrong. please help stop this injustice.

Concerning the story on the TSA and the 95-year-old woman, has anyone besides rational thinking individuals realized the real story here. Maybe before Mr. Paul and the news agency's run there vocal cords; ever given a OMG thought, or considered that the TSA did this 95 year old woman a favor? #1: if her depends were so wet they could not x-ray through them, this means she had been in it for hours. #2: her daughter stated they did not have a clean one to put on her. #3: The daughter was putting her mother on a plane, in a wheel chair with a soiled depends on for a 2+ hour flight. She was totally aware mom had not been changed and does not seem to care. #4: Her embarrassment, I am supposing, is that she was caught.

Her statement "This has never happened before", what has never happened? Mom soiled herself or she did not have a change of underwear? This "daughter" needs to be investigated for elderly abuse.
