  • Sentencing is scheduled in Norfolk, Virginia, for Robert Cassidy, who pleaded guilty in a plot to sell F-14 jet parts to Iran.

  • Events are scheduled in Memphis, Tennessee, to commemorate Elvis Presley's birth on this date 64 years ago.

  • Sentencing is scheduled in St. Charles, Missouri, for the man who injected his son with HIV-tainted blood in 1992, to avoid paying child support. He was convicted of first-degree assault on December 5. His child was diagnosed with full-blown AIDS in 1996.
