  • John Glenn and his fellow astronauts from a 10 day Discovery space shuttle mission will be honored with a ticker-tape parade in New York City.

  • Meetings are scheduled in Pyongyang, North Korea, between North Korean officials and a U.S. diplomatic team. The focus will be on nuclear weapons.

  • The Yugoslav war crimes tribunal in The Hague, Netherlands, is scheduled to announce verdicts and sentences against three Muslims and a Croat accused of atrocities against Bosnian Serbs in 1992.

  • The Supreme Court is scheduled to meet to issue orders, then begin a two-week recess.
