KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan (CNN) -- Students sometimes complain
there's nothing to do on summer vacation, but 1,034 Taiwanese
students were far from bored Sunday. They built the
world's largest sandwich.
The massive meal stretched 1,874.6 feet (625 meters), topping the old world record by more than 1,000 feet. It used 1,320 pounds (600 kg) of bread and 3,080 pounds (1,400 kg) of meat and
vegetables.
Kaohsiung's Chiang Kai-shek Athletic Stadium served as the
kitchen for the undertaking, and afterward as the dining room
for the hungry chefs.
