COFF HARBOUR, Australia (CNN) -- Body piercing has taken on a new meaning in the land down under. Even koalas are sporting the fashion fad. The rhinestone earrings aren't just an accessory, they're a necessity.

A koala breeding boom at the Coffs Harbor Zoo has forced keepers to tag babies and their mothers with matching earrings. That way, keepers can find the right mommy to keep them warm in cold weather.



Product purports to make you thin and clean

BEIJING, China (Reuter) -- The Chinese are trying a new weapon in the war against fat: soap. A Beijing newspaper reports a brand called "soft" is 76 percent effective in helping users lose weight.

The paper said the soap was inspired by research into traditional Chinese medicine, and has been approved by the Chinese ministry of health. The paper didn't explain how the soap is supposed to work.
