NATO launches second round of attacks in Yugoslavia
(CNN) -- NATO forces on Thursday launched a second round of air attacks against Serb military targets in Yugoslavia.
NATO says the bombings of "Operation Allied Force" will continue as long as Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic continues the crackdown on ethnic Albanians in Kosovo province.
"We will systematically and progressively attack, disrupt, degrade, devastate and ultimately -- unless President Milosevic complies with the (peace) demands of the international community -- destroy these forces and their facilities and support," NATO's Supreme Commander Gen. Wesley Clark said earlier Thursday.
Assessing the mission's first wave of attacks, which were launched Wednesday, Clark said that NATO had hit 40 ground targets and destroyed three Yugoslav Air Force planes.
The Yugoslav government said Thursday that at least 10 civilians were killed and more than 60 wounded in the NATO bombings.
