PARIS (CNN) -- An Air France plane on a domestic flight from
Marseille to the Orly airport south of Paris was hijacked and
diverted to Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport north of the
capital by a passenger Tuesday, airport officials said.
The officials said that the hijacker, apparently acting
alone, allowed 70 of the 75 passengers to leave the plane at
Charles-de-Gaulle airport.
It was unclear why the hijacker, who was said to speak
Italian, forced the aircraft to change its route.
Details to come.
