PARIS (CNN) -- While France appears to be embroiled in World Cup passion, ask your average French woman what she thinks of the football extravaganza, and you're likely to learn that she's over it.

Surveys indicate some 60 to 70 percent of French women couldn't care less about the World Cup.

A poll of Italian women found 25 percent believe the World Cup is a good time to start an extramarital affair.

Check out correspondent Jim Bittermann's report on the woes of the World Cup widow.
