Description
of government structure:
- Ukraine's unicameral legislature, the
Verkhovna Rada, is composed of 450 members serving four-year terms.
- 225 of the 450 seats in the Verkhovna
Rada are distributed in single-mandate constituencies acccording to majoritarian principles. The remaining 225 seats are distributed according to proportional principles.
- Parties must garner 4% of total
votes in order to participate in the distribution of seats.
