Of Interest:
- Following the defeat
of Slobodan MILOSEVIC and the SPS in federal elections in September,
an agreement was reached between the SPS, DOS and SPO to appoint a transitional
government consisting of representatives from each of the three parties
prior to the new elections.
- >Elections were
called by the President of Parliament on October 25th, after which President
MILUTINOVIC dissolved Parliament.
- A new election
law was passed by Parliament to administer these elections.
