Description
of government structure:
- The members of Hungary's unicameral
parliament, the National Assembly, are directly elected for four-year terms.
- The members of the National Assembly are
elected via a mixed voting system made of single-member and territorial constituencies and compensational national lists.
- A second round is necessary if no more than
half the registered electors cast their vote in the first round, or, in the case of individual constituencies, if none of the candidates receive more than half of the votes cast in the first round.
