Description
of electoral system:
- The president is popularly elected to
a five-year term and is responsible for appointing the prime minister who heads the Zastupnicki Dom.
- All of the approximately 150-members
of the Zastupnicki Dom are popularly elected to
four-year terms. Specific minority groups
elect five spots.
- In the Zupanijski Dom, 63 of the 68-members are
popularly elected and the remaining five are appointed by the president. All members serve four-year terms.
