SYDNEY, Australia -- While most centenarians would probably
be content with a cake and a moment of thanksgiving,
Australian Chris Muller chose to celebrate her 100th birthday
making the climb of her life.
Muller hiked up the narrow stairs of Sydney's Harbor Bridge,
the world-famous span offering breathtaking views of the
city.
Muller has dreamed of scaling the bridge ever since she
witnessed its opening ceremony in 1932.
"I made it. I can't imagine it's true. I'm dreaming,"
Muller said upon reaching the top, followed by her grandson
David Christie.
"An amazing performance," Christie said. "She's just shown
the spirit of the people of her era."
