SEOUL, South Korea (CNN) -- At least 30 people were injured, apparently none seriously, when a Korean Air Line jet slid off the runway in the southeastern city of Pohang on Monday, an airline spokesman said.
The accident occurred as the plane made a second attempt to land, under windy and rainy conditions.
The MD-82 passenger jet was carrying 156 people, including
crew members, according to local news reports.
"There were no reports of deaths and there
seems to be no serious injuries, but several passengers have
been taken to a nearby hospital," the company spokesman said.
Local news reports said the plane had a cracked fuselage
after skidding off the runway in Pohang, about 320 km (198 miles) from Seoul.
Reuters contributed to this report.
