MELBOURNE, Australia (CNN) -- A Sunday drive Down Under got
turned upside down by a probationary driver, his car, and a
fire hydrant.
The driver ran over the hydrant, sending water gushing out
into the car. He was then forced to stand by and watch as his
car got an impromptu bath.
Then things got a little more serious. Water smashed
through the car's rear hatch as the pressure built up,
spraying glass and metal onto the road. Authorities were even
worried the water might flood nearby houses. But after
struggling valiantly, a worker was able to turn off the water
spout. The waterlogged car was towed away.
