ADELAIDE, Australia (CNN) -- Sixteen southern right whales and calves have become a tourist attraction at Middleton Beach near Adelaide to all but one oblivious surfer. Paying more attention to the incoming waves than to crossing traffic, the surfer was knocked off his board Tuesday while tourists and at least one cameraman looked on.
