Students return to Dunblane school
DUNBLANE, Scotland (CNN) -- Students came to school in Dunblane Friday, returning to classes where a gunman killed 16 classmates and a teacher on March 13. The gunman killed himself following the attack.
Funerals for the victims were completed on Thursday, and the small Scottish town began the long road toward recovery. Students attended only a half day of classes on Friday.
"Dunblane is still in mourning," said Head Teacher Ron Taylor. "However, the evil that came last week is gone. ... And you mark my words: we will recover. I promise you that."
